Masters in Geographical Information Science (GIS)

The Masters GIS programmes are top world-class degrees, housed within a School which has demonstrated "world-leading" and "internationally excellent" research (RAE 2008). We offer students the chance to gain critical theory, develop strong practical skills and undertake an exciting research project, all under the guidance of internationally recognised staff.

You can select from one of three programmes, depending on your existing skills, interests and future ambitions: MSc GIS (taught), MSc GIS (research) and MSc GIS & Society (research). Each can be tailored to your own interests, with the opportunity to incorporate an exceptionally wide range of option courses. Many of our MSc research projects are published in academic or professional journals.
